Emerald is membership and financial management software addressing the business functions of membership administration, collection of subscriptions, payment and remittance of funds, and financial information management. Emerald addresses the administrative burdens placed on unions, associations and payroll departments respectively with regard to statutory and non-statutory employee deductions in payroll systems.

Employers are compelled to process and pay a vast an increasing number of statutory and non-statutory employee deductions, and unions are accordingly compelled to engage with an increasing number of employees and payroll departments, resulting in massive costs and increased administration for both parties. Emerald is integrated with employer groups to manage statutory and non-statutory employee deductions in payroll systems, thereby automating the collection of membership subscriptions and other fees for large volumes of members.
